World Premiere Special Showcase 2023

World Premiere Special Showcase 2023 is East Of Eden's first live video release, issued by Victor Entertainment on 13 March 2024 as VIXL-443: one Blu-ray disc, about two hours, 8,580 yen including tax. A DVD edition shares the date. It records the headline show played at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo on 8 October 2023 — the band's first, in the year they properly began. Set against the fact that the EP Forbidden Fruit -1st piece- did not arrive until that December, the show stood ahead of the recordings rather than behind them. The set opens on 'Evolve [Extended Version]', the song that serves as the band's calling card, and moves through 'Deep Dive', '無重力飛行', '鈍色のラビリンス', 'New Day' and '螺旋回廊'. '残された果実', 'echo echo' and 'YELLOW CARD' carry the middle, and '花美' and 'Chasing The Moon' close the body of the show. The encore is 'This Moment' and then 'Evolve [Extended Version]' a second time — opening and closing on one song, which draws the night as a circle. What stands out is how wide the selection is. 'Deep Dive', 'New Day', '残された果実' and 'echo echo' are songs that never found a place on the EPs or the album that followed, and they survive here. Including the material no recording accounts for, this is the band's opening repertoire kept whole. The Blu-ray edition also carries live making-of footage.
