Are You Kidding Me? No.

This is the third album by the Italian band formed in Milan in 2002, released by Metal Blade Records on 4 March 2014. The line-up is Paolo Colavolpe on vocals, Matteo Di Gioia and Ralph Salati on guitars, Gabriel Pignata on bass and Federico Paulovich on drums. The method of the record is a loop: the metre falls apart every few bars and a plain vocal melody walks back in each time it does. The technical vocabulary is the one people call mathcore, but the songs land somewhere much closer to pop. "Purania" and "My Green Neighbour" have the widest gap between the two, the ninth track is titled with a dash -- "- (Obedience)" -- and the album's own name closes it. Three more albums followed. On 30 November 2023 the band announced they would stop the next year, and the four farewell shows in October 2024 were built around playing this record in full; the last of them was at the Alcatraz in their home city of Milan on 20 October. That they chose the third album to say goodbye with says most of what needs saying about where it sits.
