The Dream Calls for Blood

LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
The Dream Calls for Blood is Death Angel's seventh album, igniting their thrash metal spirit with sharp riffing and raw propulsion. With the same lineup as the previous Relentless Retribution, it was again recorded at Audiohammer Studios in Florida under Jason Suecof's production. Pushing their fast, aggressive style even further, it is one of the strongest works of their career. It debuted at No. 72 on the US Billboard 200, marking their first chart entry since 1988's Frolic Through the Park. Metallica's Kirk Hammett also praised the album. From this album onward, Death Angel steadily raised their chart presence and fully regained the momentum of their prime as veterans. From the fierce drive of the opener "Left for Dead" to the title track and the closer "Territorial Instinct / Bloodlust," incisive songs line up. Mark Osegueda's sharp vocals and Rob Cavestany's virtuosity drive the whole record — a merciless thrash album.
