Tarot

Tarot is a work on which DARK MOOR layered orchestral keyboards, powerful guitar and Alfred Romero’s soaring singing. A worldview themed on the tarot strongly binds the light and shadow and drama of each song. It is an ambitious concept album with tarot cards as its motif. On “The Magician,” “The Chariot” and “The Emperor,” the flamboyance of fast songs and the lyricism of ballads stand side by side, and the album consistently keeps a fantastical air. Songs like “Wheel of Fortune,” “The Moon” and “The Fool” breathe the band’s full playing too. Each song is deeply bound to the meaning of a tarot card. It is a record that turned classical aesthetics into the strength of melody.
