Shadowland

LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Shadowland is the debut on which DARK MOOR combined classical keyboards, fast guitar and melody with a narrative quality. At the center of the sound is a fantastical atmosphere, but the riffs and rhythm firmly keep the strength of metal. It is the starting point on which the band from Madrid, Spain, showed its talent to the world. On “Shadowland,” “Walhalla” and “Dragon into the Fire,” even within youthful momentum, there is an eagerness to draw scenery through arrangement. Elisa C. Martín’s soaring voice adds color to the fantastical world. Songs like “Magic Land” and “The King's Sword” breathe an early, fresh appeal too. A love for European power metal in the line of Rhapsody and Stratovarius overflows throughout. It is a vivid debut that conveys the appeal of Spanish symphonic power metal.
