Two Shots at Glory is Crazy Lixx's eighth album, a celebratory anniversary work that ties their journey together with reworked songs and new ones. It consists of eight songs from past albums newly re-recorded in 2023, plus three new songs. Alongside the new "Two Shots at Glory" and "Invincible," it includes a cover of "Sword and Stone," a song written for Kiss. "Sword and Stone" was penned by Paul Stanley and others for Kiss, later recorded by Bonfire and used in the film Shocker.
Many of the re-recordings come from their third album Riot Avenue, revived with a far bigger, more refined sound than the originals. Older songs like "Fire It Up" and "Church of Rock" gained a modern punch. Mastering was handled by Erik Mårtensson of Eclipse. A record welcome to fans, celebrating the band's journey. For the re-recordings, former members including Andreas Eriksson were called back to lay down the original solo parts anew. It is also a special record where past and present members intersect.
