LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
It was released on 10 July 2015 on Nuclear Blast, produced by Scott Atkins and recorded at Grindstone Studios between November 2014 and May 2015.
It is the first record by the line-up that formed after Paul Allender and James McIlroy left: Marek "Ashok" Šmerda and Richard Shaw on guitars and Lindsay Schoolcraft on keyboards and female vocals. Two guitars are pushed to the front of it, which is a long way from the three-man band that made the album before.
The title comes from the Malleus Maleficarum, the witch-hunters' manual Heinrich Kramer wrote in 1486. The standard release holds eleven songs and 56 minutes 11 seconds; the limited edition adds "King of the Woods" and "Misericord" for thirteen and 68 minutes 47 seconds.
