Black Butterfly

Black Butterfly is a work on which BUCKCHERRY brought together gritty guitar, a bouncing beat and Josh Todd’s provocative voice. The songs are short and direct, using without hesitation a hard-rock drive that keeps a blues scent. In the wake of the previous album 15’s great success, the band develops a confident expression. On “Rescue Me,” “Talk To Me” and “Tired Of You,” the band’s rough feel remains even in songs with big hooks. A bold cover of Deep Purple’s classic “Highway Star” is also included, well expressing the band’s roots. Songs like “Rose” and “All Of Me” breathe the band’s full playing too. Pushing through with momentum and character over flashy ornament, it is a record full of BUCKCHERRY’s characteristic appeal.
