The Metal Opera Part II

LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
The Metal Opera Part II is a work on which AVANTASIA, using many guest vocalists, thick choirs and symphonic keyboards, draws a grand story. With each song the singer’s personality changes, and highly dramatic melody advances the story. It is a sequel that grandly concluded the story continuing from the previous album. On “The Glory of Rome,” “In Nomine Patris” and “Sign of the Cross,” though aiming for the epic, the choruses are clear and accessible. Continuing from the previous album, varied singers led by Michael Kiske color the story. Songs like “Reach out for the Light” and “The Tower” breathe the band’s full playing too. They pleasantly bind power-metal drive and rock-opera theatricality. Forming a pair with the first work, it is a highly complete record.
