CRIMSON & JET BLACK

Crimson & Jet Black is Anthem's seventeenth studio album, released on 21 April 2023, about six years after Engraved. Like the re-recorded Nucleus of 2019, every song is sung in English, and the record went on sale in Japan and abroad on the same day: Ward Records handled the Japanese edition and Reaper Entertainment of Germany the European one. Naoto Shibata and Jens Bogren produced it. Of the eleven tracks, "Void Ark" is an instrumental and the only one written by Akio Shimizu; Shibata wrote the rest. The Japanese release came in three forms - CD with Blu-ray, CD with DVD, and CD alone - with a cassette and a vinyl edition sold by mail order. The video disc carries the Live Circus vol. 4 tour final, filmed at New Side Beach!! in Shin-Yokohama on 17 November 2019. The album reached No. 14 on the Japanese weekly chart. Official music videos were made for "Snake Eyes", "Wheels Of Fire" and "Blood Brothers".
