Liner Notes
Blood of the Nations is a comeback record on which Accept, welcoming new vocalist Mark Tornillo, powerfully reboots the frame of traditional heavy metal with a modern weight. Over thick riffs and hard rhythm, memorable choruses and crying guitar layer powerfully. After a long gap, it is a record on which the band fully came back to life.
From the aggression of the opener “Beat the Bastards” and the speed of “Teutonic Terror” to the grandeur of the title track “Blood of the Nations” and “Pandemic” and “Kill the Pain,” every song is powerful and rich. Tornillo’s soaring, powerful voice, while different from Udo Dirkschneider, fits Accept’s sound beautifully and breathes new vitality into it. Its great value is that you can savor an overwhelming drive that shows no sign of the long gap and the classic Accept feel of old at once. Wolf Hoffmann’s guitar is also in sharp form, loftily showing the band’s continued vigor. Announcing a radiant opening of Accept’s new chapter, it is a powerful, moving comeback record.
