    Liner Notes

Who Made Who is a borderline work of a different character from a normal studio album, complementing AC/DC’s path. Made as the soundtrack to the Stephen King-directed film Maximum Overdrive, it is a compilation-like record combining newly written songs with signature songs up to then. The newly recorded title track “Who Made Who,” with its simple riff and memorable chorus, became one of the band’s popular songs representing this period. New instrumental songs are also included, expressing the film’s world in sound. With existing songs set beside new ones, it also takes on the character of an excellent introduction that, as a result, concentrates AC/DC’s appeal. Though a project apart from the line of proper studio albums, it is without doubt an important record conveying the band’s fullness in this period. Following not only the flashier songs but soundtrack works like this lets you confirm the outline of AC/DC in three dimensions. It is a work that lets you feel their consistent aesthetic anew.
