Metal Division is a work on which MYSTIC PROPHECY sounded, head-on as the title suggests, the basic elements of heavy metal. Hard guitar riffs, strongly pushing rhythm and Roberto Dimitri Liapakis’s weighty singing create a combative air in each song. Rather than complex experiment, it is a clear record that valued memorable choruses and powerful beats. On “Metal Division,” “Hail to the King” and “Die with the Hammer,” that clear intent comes across directly. Songs like “Eye to Eye,” “Dracula” and “Victory Is Mine” breathe the band’s full playing too. It suits those who love traditional European power metal and seek songs for which to raise a fist without hesitation. It is a straight, powerful, MYSTIC PROPHECY-style full work.
