Crystal Empire is the second album on which FREEDOM CALL widened their cheerful melody and elating choruses to a larger scale. Light rhythm and keyboard color spread a positive air throughout. It is a record that developed the debut’s direction into a richer, more refined form. On “Freedom Call,” “Rise Up” and “Call of Fame,” even the fast songs do not lose weight, and in the choruses you naturally want to add your voice. Songs like “Pharao,” “Palace of Fantasy” and “The Wanderer” breathe the band’s full melodic sense too.
