Under Lock and Key is a fulfilling work on which Dokken bound technical, outstanding guitar and big, singable choruses at an extremely high level. A record representing their mature period, making the success of the previous Tooth and Nail sure. George Lynch’s phrases, sharp and complex, powerfully heighten the songs’ tension by no means pushing aside Don Dokken’s beautiful melody. A record of higher polish.
