ONSLAUGHTのアルバム『Origins of Aggression』。1982年に結成されたイギリスのスラッシュ・メタル・バンドによる2枚組で、ディスク1は初期の曲の新録音、ディスク2は彼らが影響を受けた曲のカヴァー集という構成になっている。ハードコア・パンクから出発し、1985年の『Power from Hell』はクロスオーヴァーの名盤として語られ、1986年の『The Force』で完全にスラッシュへ移り、1989年の『In Search of Sanity』ではスティーヴ・グリメット（故人）が歌っている。1991年に解散、2004年に再始動し、2007年の『Killing Peace』以降は作品を重ねている。カヴァーの対象はMOTÖRHEAD、DEAD KENNEDYS、DISCHARGE、THE EXPLOITED、JUDAS PRIEST、KILLING JOKE、GBH、SEX PISTOLS、UK SUBS、BLACK SABBATHなど。『The Force』期のヴォーカリスト、サイ・キーラー、WATCHTOWERやDANGEROUS TOYSのジェイソン・マクマスター、日本のUNITEDの大谷慎吾がゲスト参加し、マスタリングはヤコブ・ハンセンが手がけた。レーベルのReigning Phoenix Musicは「In Search of Sanity」の新録に、当時の音作りに納得がいっておらず、いつかアルバム全体を録り直すのが長年の願いだったというバンドの言葉を添えている。海外・日本盤とも2025年5月23日、日本盤はワードレコーズより品番GQCS-91614で発売。
