ポルトガル出身の覆面ポスト・ブラック／エクストリーム・メタル・バンド、GAEREAの通算5作目。Century Media Recordsへの移籍第1弾にあたる作品で、2026年6月24日発売。布で顔を覆ったヴィジュアルとともに、ブラック・メタルの荒々しさへポスト・ブラック／ポスト・ロック的な広がりを重ねた音像で知られる彼らが、『Loss』というタイトルが示すとおり喪失の感触を軸に全9曲を構築した。ブラスト・ビートと絶叫が渦を巻く場面から、旋律が長く伸びていく静謐な場面まで、緊張と解放の落差が作品全体を貫いている。2026年7月には初来日公演も実現し、国内での注目度も高まっているバンドだ。

The fifth album by Gaerea, the masked post-black and extreme metal band from Portugal, and their first for Century Media Records, released on 24 June 2026. Known for cloth-covered faces and for laying post-black and post-rock breadth over black metal's harshness, they build these nine songs around the feeling the title points to. The record moves between passages where blast beats and screaming churn together and quiet stretches where a melody is allowed to run long, and that swing between tension and release carries the whole album. The band played their first Japanese shows in July 2026, and attention in Japan has grown accordingly.
