DREAM THEATERの『Lost Not Forgotten Archives: The Making of Scenes from a Memory - The Sessions (1999)』は、公式ブートレグ・シリーズの第21弾にあたる。バンド史上最高傑作と評される1999年の5作目『Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory』が形になっていく過程を、デモ、ソングライティング・セッション、リハーサル、別テイクで追った音源集である。1992年『Images and Words』収録の「Metropolis Pt. 1」の発展形として輪廻転生を主題に据えたロック・オペラが、試行錯誤を重ねながら組み上がっていく様子が記録されている。かつて自主レーベルYtsejam Recordsから生産限定で出ていたものを、最新マスタリングと新アートワークで復刻した。日本盤は高品質Blu-spec CD2仕様の完全生産限定盤で、ソニー・ミュージックレーベルズが2023年10月4日に品番SICP-31638で発売した。全15曲、約1時間17分。
