The Last of a Dying Breed is the third Under The Oak album, eleven tracks in which a Norwegian four-piece runs traditional heavy metal melody at thrash speed. They began as a tribute band playing Exodus, Testament and Candlemass, moved to writing their own songs, and released Ripped Up By The Roots and then Rattus Norvegicus, playing steadily around Norway and the rest of Europe. Ten originals are followed by a cover of Helloween's "Ride the Sky", and a guest, Jan-Erik Johansen, plays triangle on the record. Jostein sings, Marius drums, Hillbilly Bill plays bass and Thomas Bolverk guitar, all of them out of other Norwegian bands. It appeared abroad on 27 September 2024, and WormHoleDeath Japan issued the Japanese-packaged import (BITX-1351), in a digipak, on 27 December 2024. There is an official video for the title track and a visualizer for "Grim Reaper".
