On the Verge of Dreaming Again is the debut full-length by Sol Negate, the symphonic progressive death metal project of Edoardo Curatolo, who plays guitar and writes the orchestrations, and who is based in Seattle. He builds from a classical foundation, laying orchestral ensemble over modern, forceful guitar and drums and fusing progressive rock and metal, classical music, extreme metal and symphonic metal; Pink Floyd and Dream Theater are the progressive reference points and black and death metal the other half. For the 2023 sessions he was joined by Sebastian Lanser on drums (ex-Obscura, Juvaliant, Obsidious) and Riley McShane on vocals (Continuum, ex-Allegaeon), and Stefano Morabito mixed and mastered the record at 16th Cellar Studio in Rome. It is a concept album about death and dreams. Released on 8 March 2024 and issued in Japan on 31 July as a direct import with Japanese packaging, BITX-1326. Seven tracks.
