The Book of the Beast is the first definitive collection of Paul Di'Anno's work after Iron Maiden, where he sang on the first two albums: solo recordings alongside his years in Killers, Battlezone and Warhorse, seventeen tracks on the CD. The DVD adds five live performances, three promo videos and four acoustic takes. The advance track, a duet on "Wrathchild" with ZP Theart, once of DragonForce, was cut with Russell Gilbrook of Uriah Heep on drums and Cliff Evans of Tank on guitar. Di'Anno went on playing more than a hundred shows a year after serious illness put him in a wheelchair, and The Beast, the account of his life, went to number one on both the music and mystery charts on the day it appeared. Conquest Music released the album on 27 September 2024, and the import reached Japanese shops with domestic distribution on 14 December 2024 as CNQ666CDDJ.
