Theory of Mind is an album by Kiko Loureiro, the Brazilian guitarist who has played in Angra and Megadeth. It is his first studio record since Open Source in 2020 and the first solo album he has released since leaving Megadeth in 2023. His Angra bandmates Felipe Andreoli on bass and Bruno Valverde on drums play on it, and Jacob Hansen mixed and mastered. The whole album is instrumental, with heavy, technical guitar carrying the expressive weight a voice would. Theory of mind is the psychological term for the human capacity to recognise and interpret what is going on in someone else's head; Loureiro has said that for people who do not acquire it naturally the gap in understanding can become a bridge to a different view of the world, and that he set out to capture the difficulty and the beauty of understanding another mind. Victor Entertainment released the Japanese edition on 20 November 2024 as VICP-65623, a month after the international release on 18 October. Eleven tracks.
