LINER NOTES
Where Angels Fear To Tread is the debut of Häven, the band Spanish singer Gabrielle de Val formed when songs meant for her next solo album, Revolution, came out heavier than the AOR and melodic rock of her own records. Some were symphonic rock, some power metal, some plain heavy metal, and the heaviest were above all those she and Bruce Mee wrote with Tommy Denander. She kept her solo albums in their style and gave this music a band: her live musicians, whose work had gone unrecognised on her solo records, with Denander joining on guitar. In the line-up de Val sings, Denander and Gustavo Martín play guitars, José Luis Gallera bass, Isabel Fernández keyboards and Robert van der Laar drums.
"The Light Brigade" in August 2026 and "I Love The Rain" in October preceded the album, and "Dust" is a duet with the British singer Chris Dando. Sebastian Kozak designed the cover and the logo. Rubicon Music's Japanese edition (RBNCD-1480), dated 18 November 2026, closes with the bonus track "Lightning Rod" and comes with lyrics, Japanese translations and an interview with de Val; Pride & Joy Music, the German label, gives its CD and digital release the date 13 November 2026.
