Force Against The End

FireFlame are a five-piece from Osaka and this is their worldwide debut album. The band grew out of a meeting between the guitarists FireRay and Fire.J; Connie Flames came in on bass and Mr Big Fire on vocals, and the line-up was completed on 27 February 2022 when Show .G. Flame, a childhood friend of FireRay's, took the drum stool. They describe what they play as modern heavy metal, a term they chose for themselves precisely so as not to be filed under any one subgenre: classic heavy metal and metalcore underneath, with melodic death metal and balladry pulled in wherever a song calls for them. Two guitars drive it, and the weight and the melody both come from that pairing. From the start the band have said their purpose is to show that Japanese metal stands up on a world stage, and with their allies kitsunevi they founded NWOJHM — New Wave of Japanese Heavy Metal — to draw the Osaka scene, once known as a metal city, back together. WormHoleDeath announced the signing on 10 June 2026 and released the album digitally on 31 July. WormHoleDeath Japan issue the Japanese edition on 30 October 2026 as a direct import with Japanese packaging, catalogue number BITX1494. Fifteen tracks, the last three of them billed as bonus tracks.
