Aeon Gods, a German band playing symphonic power metal, made King of Gods their first album; the Italian label Scarlet Records released it on 22 November 2024. Ward Records brought it to Japan on 20 June 2025 as GQCS-91617, with translated lyrics and a Japanese essay. The band came directly out of Aeternitas, formed in 1999 and popular across Europe on Roman mythology before splitting in 2022: guitarist Alexander Hunzinger and keyboard player Anja Hunzinger started this one immediately afterwards, released a handful of singles and signed to Scarlet. Babylonian legend supplies the subject matter, and the ten songs are built on massed choirs and symphonic arrangement, with the flood told across three parts in "Enlil's Command", "Nintu's Lament" and "Enki's Grace". Alex Hunzinger sings, Anja Hunzinger plays keyboards, Robert Altenbach and Nino Helfrich guitars and Elias Knorr drums.
