Witch

This is the first album by the stoner doom band founded by J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. Here Mascis plays drums rather than guitar; the rest of the band is Kyle Thomas on guitar and vocals, Asa Irons on guitar and Dave Sweetapple on bass. Kurt Weisman adds organ to "Isadora". John Agnello produced, recorded and mixed it, and Greg Calbi mastered it at Sterling Sound in New York. The front cover art is by Kyle Thomas and Luke Thomas. A heavy Black Sabbath influence is generally cited for the record. "Soul of Fire" was issued as a single with a demo version of "Rip Van Winkle" as its b-side, and a video was made for "Seer". The running order here is the original's as printed.
