Gate of Heaven

Gate of Heaven appeared on 26 November 2025 on FABTONE: the fifth Unlucky Morpheus album, the first full-length they made after moving to that label in 2024, and the first half of a pair completed by Gate of Hell the following June. Four of its ten songs had already been heard. The title track and the coupling, "Ready for a new stage", came from the July 2024 single Sekai Rinne; "SAKURA chevalier" from March 2025; and "Convergent Rays" from a digital single put out on 24 September, two months before the album. The band spent eighteen months marking the road out in singles and then set the album at the end of it. The song that got a film was "Bangekyo" — kaleidoscope. Fuki's lyric opens on a forbidden flame lit on a godless night and writes the two women in it as a pair who would take each other's heads even if they were born again. The credit, as on every record this band has made, is words by Fuki and music by Shiren. The closing track, "Satsuriku no Miseria", is a re-recording of the last song on the 2014 debut affected. Gate of Hell reaches back to the same album for two more, so both ends of the pair are tied to the record the band started with eleven years earlier.
