CHANGE OF GENERATION

CHANGE OF GENERATION went into national distribution on 19 September 2018 as ANKM-0030 at 2,750 yen including tax. It was the first full album since VAMPIR three and a half years earlier, with the EPs Black Pentagram (2016) and CADAVER / REVADAC (March 2018) in between. Much of the record is a gathering-up. Of its thirteen songs, "Cadaver" and "Revadac" come straight off the EP from six months before and "Black Pentagram" off the 2016 one. Three more — "Kyobo no Koibito" from the 2014 debut, the 2015 single "Wings", and the title song itself — are re-recordings, each marked "(2018 Ver.)" in the title. The album's name is a fair description of what it does. The last two songs, "Torawareno Bokura" and "Negai no Hakobune", carry "(Unlucky Morpheus Ver.)" instead; that marking is used nowhere else on the record. The unusual piece of filming is "Kizasi", which got two music videos, one flat and one in VR. "Knight of Sword" has both a video and a live film, and there is an album trailer. "Knight of Sword", "Change of Generation" and "Spartan Army" are on all three of the band's live albums since. This is the record where the standing set took shape.
