Eparistera Daimones is the first album by Triptykon, the band Thomas Gabriel Fischer formed after leaving Celtic Frost. It came out through Fischer's own Prowling Death Records under a licensing agreement with Century Media, and Victor Entertainment issued a Japanese edition on 21 April 2010 with the bonus track "Shatter".
It was recorded in the second half of 2009 at guitarist V. Santura's Woodshed Studio in southern Germany and co-produced by the two of them. Walter Schmid mastered it at Oakland Recording in Winterthur, as he had Celtic Frost's Monotheist. Rather than continue from the old band, the record takes the weight and the slowness Monotheist arrived at and pushes them further; "The Prolonging", the last of the nine tracks, spends nearly nineteen minutes on a single descent.
The title is Greek, taken from Aleister Crowley's Liber XXV: The Star Ruby, and means roughly "on my left hand, the daemons". H. R. Giger's painting "Vlad Tepes" is the cover and Vincent Castiglia drew the band illustrations. "Myopic Empire" grew out of "Relinquished Body", a Celtic Frost demo track from 2002.
