Nightbringers

Nightbringers packs The Black Dahlia Murder’s melodic-death-metal velocity and horror-like unease into a very dense form. Twin guitars interlock in detail, the drums drive without mercy, and the vocal performance gives the songs a feverish narrative quality. Its strengths go beyond speed: the riffs stay memorable and the arrangement changes land with purpose. The album is extreme, yet its musical outline remains remarkably clear, revealing new phrases on repeated listens. A powerful record for taking in the attack of modern melodic death metal.
