LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
The eighteenth album was released by SPV/Steamhammer on 9 January 2009. It was recorded at Twilight Hall in Krefeld, Germany, and produced by Charlie Bauerfeind. It reached six on the UK Rock & Metal chart, twenty-three in Germany, thirty-three in Sweden and seventy-two on the US Independent chart. The line-up is Byford, Quinn, Scarratt, Carter and Glockler, with Matthias Ulmer on keyboards. "Coming Home" is the Killing Ground song done again as a bottleneck version, and "Valley of the Kings" was researched for historical accuracy about the pharaohs. A Riff King competition in November 2008 invited players to write a solo for "Live to Rock"; the Brazilian guitarist Claudio Kiari won it. The running order given here is the original pressing's.
