RIOT祭2024 LIVE IN JAPAN is a live video release issued by Ward Records on 31 July 2026. It holds both of the band's July 2024 Japanese concerts: RIOT祭2024 at CLUB CITTA’ in Kawasaki on 20 July, and RIOT after RIOT at SHIBUYA CLUB QUATTRO on 22 July. The video runs about three and a half hours and the audio is spread across four CDs. Those two nights turned out to be a hinge in the band's history. The visit was made behind the 2024 album Mean Streets, but the following year Todd Michael Hall left, and the singer's chair passed to Valentino Francavilla — the Italy-based guitarist and vocalist who had opened for them on this very trip. This is therefore the last filmed record of the band with Hall in it, and at the same time a record of both singers on one stage: Francavilla guested on both nights, and Masayoshi Yamashita of Loudness appeared as well. The two sets differ sharply. The seventeen songs at CLUB CITTA’ open on 'Hail To The Warriors', take in the Thundersteel material — 'Sign Of The Crimson Storm', "Johnny's Back", 'Bloodstreets' — pass through the early "Road Racin'" and 'Swords And Tequila', and close by way of 'Land Of The Rising Sun' into 'Thundersteel'. The twenty-two at CLUB QUATTRO reach wider, making room for 'Victory', 'On Your Knees', '49er', 'Fire Down Under', 'Restless Breed', 'Magic Maker' and 'Outlaw', none of which were played at the festival show. Thirty-nine performances across two nights, and even discounting the overlap the material runs from Rock City in 1977 to Armor of Light in 2018. Twelve years after founder Mark Reale's sudden death in 2012, with Mike Flyntz and Don Van Stavern carrying the band on, very nearly everything they had to play is here.
