Reckless Love

Reckless Love is the debut on which the band sounded vividly coloured choruses, springing beats and sweet, catchy melody at full tilt. Released on Spinefarm in February 2010. Formed in Kuopio, Finland in 2001, they began as a Guns N' Roses covers band called Reckless Life, turned to original material in 2004 and won the Kuopio band competition. Singer Olli Herman is the man who also fronted Crashdïet under the name H. Olliver Twisted. They signed in 2009; the advance single was “One More Time.” For all the sleazy look and party feel, the songwriting is very tight, pushing through on a run of hooks. Bright, excessive fun, savoured as calculated melodic hard rock. It reached No. 13 at home and went gold. It turns a longing for the 1980s Sunset Strip straight into sound while a Nordic lightness, free of any dampness, runs through the whole thing. On the debut, this band's appeal was already all but complete.
