Herzeleid

The debut album was released by Motor Music in September 1995. It was recorded that year at Polar Studios and BomKrash in Stockholm and produced by Jacob Hellner; it runs 49:22. It reached two in Germany, four in Switzerland, eleven in Austria, thirty in Flanders, thirty-eight in Hungary, seventy-seven in the Netherlands, eighty-five in France and 161 in Wallonia. The title is German for heartache. The singles were "Du riechst so gut", "Seemann", "Asche zu Asche" and, in 1998, "Du riechst so gut '98". The sources disagree about the day: the English Wikipedia gives 25 September and MusicBrainz 24 September, so the month alone is recorded here rather than one of the two. The running order given here is the original pressing's.
