Louder Than Ever

Louder Than Ever, released by Frontiers Records on March 21, 2014, is built differently from a conventional studio album. As the band's own discography sets out, seven of its twelve songs are re-recordings; the new material is "Deranged," "My Soul to Take," "Nuclear Boomerang" and "A Heart Without a Home." What gets revisited is specific: "Snakes in Eden" and "With These Eyes" from 1999, "Tortured Spirit" from 2000, "Virtual Brutality," "Playing God" and "He Who Never Lived" from 2002, and "Wake up to the Real World" from 2006. That span runs from the Massacre years through the move to Frontiers — the stretch of the catalogue least available to anyone listening now. The intent is plain: put those songs back in front of an audience in the band's present sound. The point has only sharpened since. As of 2026 the six original albums from that period are on no streaming service at all — not Spotify, not iTunes, not Deezer. This record remains the one official route to a part of that music, which makes it rather more than a stopgap.
