Legacy is the tenth Praying Mantis studio album, released by Frontiers Music on 21 August 2015 — six years after Sanctuary, with the re-recorded Metalmorphosis in between.
It is the first record by a changed band. Two Dutch players, John 'Jaycee' Cuijpers on vocals and Hans in 't Zandt on drums, had joined in 2013, replacing Mike Freeland and Gary MacKenzie. Reviewing it in Japan, Burrn! introduced Cuijpers as ex-Ayreon and in 't Zandt as ex-Vengeance, and framed the album as the band's first original record since Sanctuary.
Eleven songs, about fifty-five minutes, and the fourth of them is called "Tokyo". The band took the album through Germany in October 2015 and played Harajuku Astro Hall on 3 November.
Frontiers' channel posted official audio for "All I See" on 23 July 2015 and for "Tokyo" on 13 August. King Records' Metal Frontier imprint released the Japanese edition on 26 August as KICP-1738, adding "Here to Stay" as a Japan-only bonus track for twelve songs.
