LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Thunderdome is a work on which PINK CREAM 69 brought together thick guitar and refined melody in a tightened sound image. The riffs are heavy, the rhythm advances without hesitation, and the vocals support each song’s big choruses with firm strength. The distance between hard push and accessible melodic sense is close, and every song has an immediate hook. On “The Last Stance,” “Thunderdome,” “Here I Am” and “Shelter,” weight and refined melody join ideally. A cover of The Knack’s classic “My Sharona” shows the band’s playful spirit too. Songs like “Carnaby Road” and “As Deep as I Am” breathe a firm melodic sense too. Updating the style of melodic hard rock with a modern feel, it is a powerful record conveying the band’s intensity and fullness.
