Ceremonial

Ceremonial is a work on which PINK CREAM 69 bound the accessibility of melodic hard rock with weighty guitar riffs in good balance. The songs have pop choruses, yet the outlines of the rhythm and guitar are hard, never flowing into mere sweetness. Even after a long career, the band’s musical fullness has not dimmed in the least. On “Land of Confusion,” “Special,” “Big Machine” and “Let the Thunder Roll,” the strength of the hooks and the heft of hard rock balance. A cover of Genesis’ classic “Land of Confusion” is an impressive result too. Songs like “Find Your Soul” and “King For One Day” breathe a firm melodic sense too. With the heat and push of a real band remaining within refined arrangement, it is a full record conveying a veteran’s maturity.
