OUTRAGE

Outrage were formed in 1982 by four schoolboys in Nagoya and made their debut in 1987. The singer Naoki Hashimoto left in 1999, after which the guitarist Yosuke Abe and the bassist Yoshihiro Yasui shared the vocals. He came back temporarily for the band's twentieth-anniversary shows in 2007, and on 8 February 2008 his official return was announced on their website. In 2009 the band went to Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden, where the studio's owner Fredrik Nordstrom produced the record. They played Loud Park 09 on 17 October and the album followed on 25 November. It is their first after Hashimoto's return and their tenth in all, and it is the first Outrage album also issued digitally, through the iTunes Music Store and elsewhere. The band is Hashimoto on vocals, Abe on guitar, Yasui on bass and Shinya Tange on drums. Their logo, in use since the debut, is set in the same typeface as that of G.B.H., with whom they are friends. A ten-date Japan Tour 2010 "Rise" followed between January and May 2010, and in March that year the band received the culture prize of the Aichi Prefectural Arts and Culture Award for their years of music and of cultural work in the region. The running order here is the standard edition's as printed.
