LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
It was recorded between 1 November 2007 and 10 January 2008 at Fascination Street Studios in Orebro, Sweden, with Jens Bogren and Mikael Akerfeldt sharing the production, recording, mixing and mastering. The long-serving guitarist Peter Lindgren and the drummer Martin Lopez had gone, and this is the first record with Fredrik Akesson and Martin Axenrot. Nathalie Lorichs sings on it, Lisa Almberg plays English horn and oboe, Christoffer Wadensten flute, Karin Svensson violin and Andreas Tengberg cello. It is the last album to carry death growls until The Last Will and Testament in 2024. The running order here is the standard release's; the Japanese edition ran to eight tracks, with "Derelict Herds" added.
