Everything Under the Sun is the eleventh studio album by Nickelback, formed in Hanna, Alberta, and their first since Get Rollin' in 2022. Having left BMG, which released their two previous albums, they made it their first record for Virgin Music Group. It came out on 30 October 2026, in Japan on the same day; the band is Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger and Daniel Adair. Mike Kroeger says the band chose to take an extra year between albums and worked at a relaxed pace with no deadlines, having learned during the pandemic pause that time away served them well. Chad Kroeger says the record holds "every side of the band": songs as heavy as anything they have made, songs that take risks, and songs that recall why the four of them are still together. The title is meant the same way, the whole range from arena anthems to reflective songs. The album was announced on 14 July 2026 with the opening track, "Rattle the Cage", which grew from a demo idea left on a hard drive and features John 5, known as Mötley Crüe's touring guitarist. It reached number one on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart dated 26 September, the band's ninth number one there and their first since "Edge of a Revolution" in 2014. "Bones for the Crows" was made in 2023 for the video game Dungeon Hunter 6 and used in its advertising, and later became the theme song of WWE's WrestleMania 42 in April 2026. Of "Leave Me Behind", released on 21 August, Chad says it is about helping someone carry what has broken them, set against not wanting to be left behind. "Make Me Love You" premiered on BBC Radio 2 on 24 September; Chad wrote it with four country songwriters. Timothy Hiehle directed the videos for "Rattle the Cage" and "Leave Me Behind", Nigel Dick the one for "Make Me Love You". Between the two albums came Leigh Brooks' documentary Hate to Love: Nickelback, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023 and later on Netflix, and the live album Live From Nashville (2024), recorded at Bridgestone Arena in August 2023 on the Get Rollin' tour. The Japanese edition, UICB-1039 on Universal Music Japan, is an SHM-CD with liner notes, translated lyrics and a thirteenth track, "I Would Have Left You"; the international edition has twelve.
