SHADOWS OF WAR

Shadows of War is the sixth Loudness album, released first in Japan on 24 March 1986. The record exists in two forms. This Japanese edition holds nine songs and opens with the title track; four months later, on 25 July 1986, the international edition appeared as Lightning Strikes, resequenced and with "Ashes In The Sky" added. One set of sessions, two distinct products. Max Norman produced again, as he had on Thunder in the East. "Let It Go", "Dark Desire", "Face To Face" and "Complication" all stayed in the live repertoire for years. The international edition reached No. 64 on the Billboard 200, above the No. 74 of its predecessor.
