LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Into Oblivion is a 2026 work LAMB OF GOD refined around the physical weight of groove metal, thrash-derived sharp riffs and modern aggression. The rhythm moves like a giant gear, and the guitar keeps a low, heavy pressure even while chugging finely. Even after a long career, it is a record on which the band’s aggression has not dimmed in the least. On “Into Oblivion,” “The Killing Floor” and “Blunt Force Blues,” the rough roar bares the emotion, thrusting the ruin-bound sense of the title without mercy. Songs like “Parasocial Christ,” “Sepsis” and “Bully” breathe the band’s full playing too. Rather than monotonously heavy, breaks, acceleration and mid-tempo surges create a different impact in each song. Sounding a body-received type of heaviness with a precise band ensemble, it is a full record.
