Hollywood Vampires

Hollywood Vampires is the third L.A. Guns studio album, released by Vertigo on 25 June 1991. The line-up is the one usually called the band's classic five: Phil Lewis on vocals, Tracii Guns and Mick Cripps on guitars, Kelly Nickels on bass and Steve Riley on drums. This is the record from the point where the band reached furthest. Twelve songs, about fifty-three minutes. The opener, "Over the Edge", was used in Point Break that same year, and it went out on MTV alongside "Kiss My Love Goodbye", "Some Lie 4 Love" and "It's Over Now". The title comes from the nickname of a Los Angeles drinking circle of the 1970s. The Japanese pressing at the time was PHCR-1085; Universal Music Japan reissued the album on SHM-CD on 25 March 2026 as UICY-16387 at ¥2,000 including tax, adding "Ain't the Same" for thirteen tracks. Official music videos were made for several of these songs, but every copy now on YouTube is an archive re-upload rather than a posting by a rights holder, so none is listed on this page.
