Ecstasy

The sixth album, and the first to reach the German top ten at number 7, with 52 in Austria and 30 in Switzerland. The band was named Best German Band at that year's Metal Hammer Awards, spent the autumn on Powerwolf's Wolfsnächte tour alongside Amaranthe, and headlined its own tour in the spring of 2019. Four singles went out: "I've Got the Fire" on 4 May 2018, "Ecstasy" on 25 May, "You're Not Alone" on 15 June and "Heart of Stone" on 30 November. Anna Brunner of Exit Eden sings the title track with Hannes Braun, whose partner she has been for years. Across thirteen songs including two bonus tracks, the choruses are thicker and the range of tempos wider than on anything before it. The rights were split: Metal Blade Records held the record, and Sony Music Entertainment Germany issued it under exclusive licence on Columbia at home. Avalon released the Japanese edition on 4 July as MICP-11427, fourteen songs with "Let There Be Night" added.
