LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Megatropolis is an ambitious sixth album on which Iron Savior pulls together mechanical riffs, powerful choruses and a grand narrative. It develops its world from the former space-set concept into a more near-future, dystopian theme set in a giant city. While treating an inorganic, sci-fi theme, its songs always breathe human heat and a sure melodic accessibility. A record showing a new side of the band. From the powerful drive of the opener “Running Riot” and the drama of the title track “Megatropolis” to cuts like “The Omega Man” and “Cyber Hero,” every song is engaging, while a cut like “Cybernatic Queen” deepens the work’s world. The band powerfully draws the giant-city image the title suggests with straight speed and heavy, sure mid-tempo. A reliable record on which a grand concept and the songs’ sure drive bind extremely naturally. The band splendidly answers the new theme of a dystopian world with its native musicality. A powerful, engaging, fulfilling work showing the breadth of Iron Savior’s sure expression — a record where the band’s new challenge shines.
