LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Prime Time is a work on which FIREHOUSE carefully combined clear high tones, lustrous guitar and memorable choruses. The songs are not overly decorated, letting you hear through the clarity of the melody and the band’s stable playing. It is a record on which the pop sense cultivated over a long career supports the whole. On “Prime Time,” “Crash” and “Home Tonight,” the exhilaration of rock songs and the warmth of ballads stand naturally side by side. Songs like “Perfect Lie” and “Take Me Away” breathe the band’s full playing too. Rather than flashy gimmicks, they compete with the quality of the songs themselves. One can savor characteristically FIREHOUSE sincere melodic hard. It is a record on which the appeal of a mature-period band is felt slowly.
