Fallen (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)

Fallen, the 2003 Evanescence debut, is the record that decided what this band is. Number one in Britain, number three in America, fourteen million copies sold; the image of them as icons of gothic rock, and everyone who followed in their wake, starts here. It matters for a second reason too. It is the only album made with Ben Moody, who wrote "Bring Me To Life", "My Immortal", "Going Under" and "Everybody's Fool" with Amy Lee. The twentieth-anniversary deluxe edition remasters the album and adds ten tracks on a second disc. "Breathe No More", "Farther Away" and "Missing", which were not on it; band and strings versions of "My Immortal"; a demo of "Bring Me To Life" and the AOL session recording of 15 April 2003; "Going Under" played acoustically in 2003; a radio session from Australia in 2020; and "My Immortal" from the O2 Arena in London on 14 November 2022. One disc, following what these songs became across twenty years. Universal Music Japan released the Japanese edition on 17 November 2023 as two SHM-CDs, UICB-10011.
