Monumentum

Monumentum packs Eclipse’s modern hard-rock precision and melodic-rock-sized hooks into a very concentrated form. The guitars are hard and the rhythm is tight, but each chorus opens the view wide. The songs consistently remove excess detail to deliver strong melodies by the shortest route. The production is polished without becoming cold, because the vocal performance gives the whole record real heat. It is an excellent entry point for the appeal of Scandinavian melodic hard rock in a modern production.
