Knock You Down

Knock You Down is the second album, released after signing with StormVox, and it reached number 21 on the Swedish charts. It carries on the direction of the debut while stepping toward a firmer, more traditionally hard-rocking and heavy-metal feel. Built on flashy choruses and clear riffs, the band pushed its momentum as a live act to the front. That year they appeared at Melodifestivalen 2011 with “This Is My Life,” a metal-styled cover of an Anna Bergendahl song, raising their domestic profile. Songs like “Sleeping with the Enemy” and “Get It On” drive hard with energetic riffs and big choruses, while the title track “Knock You Down” anchors the album. “Throne of China” and “New Sensation” balance catchiness with heaviness. It still bears strongly 1980s themes and style, but the ensemble tightness and the conviction of the vocals steadily grow, hinting at the leap to come. Nils Molin's singing gains further power, establishing his presence as the band's figurehead.
